- Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (Demo)
It's always nice for me to get a hands-on feel of the new FPS games. Quake Wars does a lot of things well, but also seems like a Battlefield clone. I was never all that fond of Battlefield though, so I probably won't pick this game up in the end.
- Magic Online 3 Beta
Because I love Magic.
- Tomb Raider: Anniversary
I vaguely remember playing the demos of Tomb Raider 1 and 2 back in the day (1996 and 1997). The only thing I really recall is that even though I could see the fun in the games, they mostly just made me very frustrated. After an hour or two of frustration, I would clearly decide that these were not worth spending more time on for me.
Flash-foward to 2007 and I'm trying out the demo of Tomb Raider: Anniversary. After a week or so, I realize that I'm actually playing it an awful lot. I do end up buying it, and still do a few levels on trial mode every now and then.
- Halo PC
Even years after its release, I still find this game so balanced and just plain fun that I keep coming back to play it every now and then. I've played it pretty extensively during the first year or two after release, but now it's more of a "just for fun" game for me.
Eagerly awaiting
- Mass Effect, from Bioware.
The more I see of this game, the more I curse the fact that I will have to wait for a PC version. It can't fail.
